About The Founder
I'm Nick Lopez, a baseball player born and raised in Orange County whose path has been anything but traditional. From limited playtime in high school to a gap year fully dedicated to development, my journey has always been fueled by resilience and belief in what is possible. That mindset helped me earn a Division I scholarship to the University of Illinois Chicago, continue my growth at Santa Ana College, walk on and excel at the University of Southern California in the PAC-12, and finish my college career at the University of Kentucky, where I became an All-American, First Team SEC selection, and helped lead the Wildcats to the College World Series.
After college, my career took another exciting step when I was selected to join the Texas Tailgaters in Banana Ball. In my first full season I earned recognition as a Rookie of the Year nominee, an All-Star MVP, and a Franchise Player. Competing in Banana Ball pushed my creativity, athleticism, and love for the game to new levels. I am committed to continuing my growth and inspiring the next generation of athletes to chase their own path, no matter how unconventional it may be.
My Baseball Timeline⚾
2019: Took a dedicated gap year to train, develop skills, and prepare for the next level of competition.
2020: Played at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) on a Division I scholarship.
2021: Continued development at Santa Ana College, competing at the junior college level.
2022: Joined the University of Southern California (USC) as a walk-on and earned a role in the PAC-12 conference.
2023: Returned for a second season at USC, continuing to elevate performance and impact.
2024: Transferred to the University of Kentucky and became an All-American, First Team SEC selection, and College World Series athlete.
2025: Selected by the Texas Tailgaters in Banana Ball, earning Rookie of the Year nominee honors, All-Star MVP, and Franchise Player status.
THE LEISURE HOUSE STORY
I started Leisure House to share my journey and those of my teammates and mentors. Through our podcasts and vlogs, we highlight the power of resilience and authenticity. Leisure House is more than just a brand; it's a movement. We provide both in-person and remote coaching, tailored to help athletes everywhere achieve their dreams. Our YouTube channel documents every step of the journey, offering an inside look at the dedication and hard work it takes to succeed in sports.
My main goal is to inspire as many athletes as possible, letting them know that anything is possible if you work hard and dream big. By sharing our stories and experiences, we hope to motivate others to pursue their passions and live life to the fullest.
